Aaaaand the Shoggoth is Off!

It’s done. I cannot undo it. In a fit of madness during the Witching Hour last night I unleased the Kickstarter campaign for The Littlest Shoggoth upon the world. Oh, what was I thinking? Woe betide humanity . . . errrr . . . that is, in the first 15 hour the campaign has raised more than $2,000.

Holy cats!

Or, should I say, sweet shoggoths!

I’m not sure what I was expecting, but raising more that 40% of my target funds in a little over half a day has surely surpassed it! Thank you to EVERYONE who leapt out to pledge here in the opening hours of the fund drive. Words cannot adequately express my gratitude.

That having been said, as the aphorism informs us, “Well begun is half done.” Which means we’ve still got the other half to go.

The Kickstarter campaign will run for about a month (it’s set to wrap up on Dec. 16), and I’ve got a whole bunch of stretch goals planned. But FIRST we have to hit that initial $5,000 target. And the biggest help you can provide, dear blog visitor, is to help spread the word.

Yes, more than your money, I need your social contacts. So please consider blogging or tweeting or Facebooking a little message about The Littlest Shoggoth and including a link to the Kickstarter page. Thanks.

In return, I’ll try to find some other interesting things to talk about here, so I’m not just shilling for my fund raising effort all month long.

Stan, this is great news! I would have backed it regardless, but your video and presentation were cool…so I backed it the first day! :)

Thanks,Keith. I appreciate the support (both moral and fiscal). I’m glad that my presentation came off as smooth and appealing, as opposed to crazed and desperate. ;^)
